RENESAS ISL99227HRZ-T Datesheet

The ISL99227HRZ-T is a highly integrated Smart Power Stage (SPS) module designed to work seamlessly with Renesas ISL68xxx/ISL69xxx Digital Multiphase (DMP) controllers. This advanced power stage integrates power MOSFETs, gate drivers, and precision monitoring circuits into a compact, thermally enhanced 32-lead 5x5 mm PQFN package. It supports a continuous output current of up to 60A, operates over an input voltage range of 4.5V to 18V, and achieves switching frequencies up to 2MHz. The device features high-accuracy downslope current sensing with a ±3% accurate current monitor (IMON) and an 8mV/°C temperature monitor with over-temperature (OT) flag output. The ISL99227HRZ-T accepts a 3.3V compatible tri-state PWM input and includes a dedicated low-side FET control pin for light-load efficiency optimization. Description:

The ISL99227 and ISL99227B are Smart Power Stage (SPS)compatible with the ISL68xxx/69xxx Digital Multiphase (DMP)controllers and phase doubler (ISL6617A), respectively. TheISL99227 and ISL99227B have integrated high accuracycurrent and temperature monitors that can be fed back to thecontroller and doubler to complete a multiphase DC/DCsystem. They simplify design and increase performance byeliminating the DCR sensing network and associated thermalcompensation. Light-load efficiency is supported through adedicated LFET control pin. An industry leading thermallyenhanced 5x5 PQFN package allows minimal overall PCB realestate.The ISL99227 and ISL99227B feature a 3.3V compatible, 5.0Vcompatible tri-state PWM input that, working together withRenesas multiphase PWM controllers, provide a robustsolution in the event of abnormal operating conditions. TheISL99227 and ISL99227B also improve system performanceand reliability with integrated fault protection of UVLO,over-temperature, and overcurrent. An open-drain faultreporting pin simplifies the handshake between SPS andRenesas controllers and can be used to disable the controllerduring start-up and fault conditions.
