The DRV8343-Q1 is an AEC-Q100 qualified integrated gate driver designed for three-phase automotive applications. It integrates three independent half-bridge gate drivers, each capable of driving high-side and low-side N-channel power MOSFETs. Dedicated source (SHx) and drain (DLx) pins enable independent MOSFET control for solenoid applications. The device employs a smart gate drive architecture with an integrated charge pump for high-side gate drive and a linear regulator for low-side gate drive, supporting up to 1A peak source current and 2A peak sink current. Description:

The DRV8343-Q1 device is an integrated gate driver for three-phase applications. This device features three half-bridge gate drivers, each capable of driving high-side and low-side N-channel power MOSFETs. Dedicated source and drain pins support independent MOSFET control for solenoid applications. The DRV8343-Q1 uses an integrated charge pump to generate sufficient gate drive voltage for the high-side MOSFETs, and a linear regulator to generate sufficient gate drive voltage for the low-side MOSFETs. This smart gate drive architecture supports up to 1A peak gate drive source current and 2A peak gate drive sink current. The DRV8343-Q1 can be powered from a single supply and supports a wide input supply voltage range of 5.5 to 60V for gate drivers. 6x, 3x, 1x, and independent input PWM modes simplify connection to controller circuits. The gate driver and device configuration settings are highly configurable and can be implemented through SPI or hardware (H/W) interfaces. The DRV8343-Q1 device integrates three low-side current sense amplifiers for bidirectional current sensing on all three phases of the drive stage. A low-power sleep mode is provided to achieve low quiescent current consumption. Internal protection features are provided for undervoltage lockout, charge pump fault, MOSFET overcurrent, MOSFET short circuit, phase node short to supply and ground, gate driver fault, and overtemperature conditions. Fault conditions and fault details can be indicated on the nFAULT pin through the device registers of SPI device models.
