The TPSM5601R5Hx power module is a highly integrated 1.5A power solution that combines a 60V input step-down DC/DC converter with power MOSFETs, a shielded inductor, and passive components in a thermally enhanced QFN package. This 5mm × 5.5mm × 4mm, 15-pin QFN package utilizes enhanced HotRod™ QFN technology to achieve improved thermal performance, small size, and low EMI. All pins of the package are distributed on the periphery with a single large thermal pad, enabling simple layout and easy handling during manufacturing. The TPSM5601R5Hx is a compact, easy-to-use power module with an adjustable wide output voltage range from 1.0V to 16V. The total solution requires only four external components and eliminates loop compensation and magnetic component selection from the design process. A full feature set includes power-good indication, programmable UVLO, pre-bias start-up, overcurrent and overtemperature protection, making the TPSM5601R5Hx an excellent device for powering a variety of applications. Space-constrained applications benefit from the 5mm × 5.5mm package. Additionally, the TPSM5601R5HEXT operates at a lower temperature of –55°C, and the TPSM5601R5HS supports spread-spectrum operation.
